Spooktacular Symphony

 

A family concert event with costume contests and treats, this
season opener will feature thrillers including classical
performances of Grieg's
In the Hall of the Mountain King and
Berlioz'
March to the Scaffold and Witches. Sabbath. The
Symphony will also perform well-known selections from
Harry
Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean
and Star Wars. A dance
performance to
Thriller will round out this Spooktacular
afternoon performance.

Christmas Celebrations
 

 

 

Sure to put our entire community in the spirit of the Season,
holiday favorites will fill the Fox! To ensure a perfect package,
guest soloists
Amy Frederick (soprano), Amy Bretz (mezzo-soprano) and
Cris Corey
(tenor) plus the Buhler High School Choir
under the direction of Greg Bontrager

will perform with the Symphony.

Celebrating Hutchinson to Russia

 

The Symphony continues the tradition of celebrating local
Anderson Concerto Winners, who are invited to perform with the Orchestra.
The Symphony will also present the Russian duo of Tchaikovsky's
Capriccio Italien and Mussorgsky's
Pictures at an Exhibition.

Ode to Joy
 
 

Beethoven's Ninth Symphony

A fitting conclusion to a season of celebration and joy, the
Symphony performs Beethoven's
Symphony No. 9 in D minor accompanied by the Hutchinson Community College Choir under the direction of Neal Alsup and features soloists Rebecca Copley(soprano), Michelle Cardinal-Dolan (mezzo-soprano), Reginald Pittman (tenor), and Jeffrey Wall (bass).
